Review:
It's incredible how much I enjoyed this book, it was such a delight to read!

The story starts with a bang and it doesn't take long until the action starts. The story is fast-paced, but not overly so and the mysteries are very intriguing. There's something really charming about books set in this era and I just love it. I also love how the setting of this is a bit different from your average mystery; it's quite a different atmosphere in Melbourne. Not entirely unfamiliar, but fresh nonetheless.

The star of this story though is Phryne. She is an absolute boss; she is unapologetically clever, funny, wholly independent and in charge. You can feel how much she loves adventure and it's so much fun to go on them with her. She takes Melbourne by storm; she's good at it and she knows it.

I cannot wait to solve more mysteries alongside Miss Fisher and her team of friends. I am sure it will be an absolute pleasure.
